Players can choose the weapons they created as well as the type of gear they wear. Equipping the player character is also a free-form process. There are even characters in the game that will craft cool stuff for the player, like bionic wings, a jump-pack, and modifications for their Automaton sidekick. Players are free to craft their own weapons, mixing and matching parts to create unique 1H or 2H slash and crush weapons. Exposure to bio-contamination in the game’s world will lead to mutations like the Turtleform and Mucus Bubble, while exposure to radioactivity found in bunkers from the old world will affect the player’s mind and unlock psi-mutations like telekinesis and levitation. As they progress through the game, players can learn new Wung-Fu combat forms and re-code their genetic structure to change the way they look and play. Biomutant features a unique martial art styled combat system that allows players to mix melee, shooting, and mutant ability action. The game is currently available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Humble Store. THQ Nordic and developer Experiment 101 have announced that Biomutant, the open-world post-apocalyptic Wung-Fu fable RPG, will be released for the Nintendo Switch on November 30.
